CEO Pedigree
David M. Solomon holds a BA in Political Science from Hamilton College. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1999 as a partner and co-head of its High Yield and Leveraged Loan division, eventually serving as President and COO before succeeding Lloyd Blankfein as CEO in 2018. Solomon drove the relaunch of Goldman’s dedicated Digital Assets trading desk in May 2021. Under his leadership, Goldman became the first major U.S. investment bank to trade OTC crypto derivatives (March 2022), pioneered Bitcoin-collateralized institutional lending (April 2022), and integrated the bank into the primary-market issuance workflows of Spot Bitcoin ETFs.
