Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our institutional directory, data provenance, and Nostr NIP-05 identity protocol.
🏛️ General & Data Provenance
BitcoinBios.io is an institutional directory of record tracking corporate Bitcoin balance sheets, executive leadership, industrial mining infrastructure, and protocol-level projects.
All quantitative metrics are extracted and verified against official SEC filings (Forms 10-Q, 8-K, 10-K), audited corporate balance sheets, and primary press releases. Every profile displays explicit timestamp provenance for its metrics.
Database records are reviewed quarterly in alignment with official financial reporting cycles. Material corporate events (such as SEC 8-K filings or major treasury purchases) are updated within 24–48 hours of disclosure.
⚡ Nostr NIP-05 Protocol Verification
NIP-05 is the open-protocol “verified checkmark” for Nostr. It maps your cryptographic public key (

- Ensure your entity or executive profile is published in our directory.
- Submit your public key (
npub) to our research desk atir@bitcoinbios.io. - Enter your assigned handle (e.g.,
name@bitcoinbios.io) into your Nostr client settings to activate your purple verification badge.
